    and it fucking owns. i was in the beta, which was finally playable after later updates. but the demo... mmmm

    Definatly has the TA feeling to it.

    Nice controls and cool idea. Though, this demo mission is a bit annoying - keeps showing you more and more new land out of nowhere. Little challenge in this mission either. Just mass and be done with it. Hopefully there are more varried missions in the game itself (are there any commando style missions there?).

    Like it, but unfortunatly my 6200 doesn't handle it very well in the later stages. Need to get a better rig.

    it keeps showing you more and more for  a reason. Not out of nowhere. If you ignored the updates from your bosses, you probably wouldn't know that though.

    Its not intended to be extremely challenging. It is a demo to show off gameplay aspects.

     Of course the full version will have different types of missions.

     
    Commando? I doubt it. This is not a forced-zoom-in, low-numbers, c&c style micro-rts. It is a huge battle, huge army, macro-rts.

    And its for that reason those little annoyances bother me.  For example, using the second monitor to display the entire battlefield.  It would be nice if I could click on that map and move my point of view over that area similar to clicking on the radar.  I find myself wanting to do that a lot and getting annoyed when nothing happens.

    I just get the impression that the game keeps fighting me when I try to manage my armies.  I prefer C&C's style of input.  I have a mental block that prevents me from understanding right click means move here and left click means perform the selected action.  BFME did that, too, and it seems so redundant to me.  Why can't left click do a move here when I don't have any actions selected.  I haven't checked the control options yet, so if you can change it, ignore me.

    Compared to the open beta, is there a large difference in performance now?  I'd download it, but after trying the beta found it completely unplayable after about 3 minutes ingame. 

    Could be because I'm still using a 1.8GHz processor though.

    yes, you can change that vlokt (although im not sure about the demo. but it was there in the beta.)

     

    try_lee, the original and following betas did suck performance wise. the final version of the beta however, was completely playable. there was fps lag, noticeable at that, but the actual net lag was none. in the earlier betas there were pauses in updates as long as several minutes. there arent really any update pauses at all anymore.
