    Re: Ask your questions here!

Hi. Can you answer my question please.

     1. When is the release date?

    2. Do I have to own a Wii to play this mod or I can play it by just buying the remote?

    3. It works in XP or Vista?

    Re: Ask your questions here!

    1. Not yet estabilshed, but the mod is about 95% complete
    2. No, you just need a computer with bluetooth capability (either built in or with a dongle) and a Wii Remote & Nunchuck
    3. Both

    Re: Ask your questions here!

Does it use sensor bar, or just purely motion sensors?

If it does not use sensor bar, I'm guessing aiming won't that great...

    Re: Ask your questions here!

You can use the sensor bar with it. If you do not have a sensor bar, you can turn it off, and aiming is handled by pitching and rolling the Wiimote.

With the sensor bar, aiming works very similar to how it was handled in Metroid Prime 3.

    Re: Ask your questions here!

Can I make a custom mini-mod or level for Wiisis, as in the map uses code from a wiisis install, or is Wiisis one script?

If Wiisis is one script, can I include it with a level install if I try to make it as clear as possible that the map employs the wiisis script?

    Re: Ask your questions here!

Wiisis is a mod. It runs through a custom game DLL and implements custom features to the game. It requires no special setup or properties on a map to work on it. If your custom level runs on normal Crysis, you can play it on Wiisis without any changes needing to be made.

We plan on releasing a stand alone API at a later time that other mod teams can use to bring the Wii Remote into their own projects. :)

    Re: Ask your questions here!

And... it will use globepie or will run only with the wiimote connected with bluetooth? I have tried the wiimote with another FPS and all of them have the same problem with the movement... this mod will work like Half Life 2 mod for wiimote?

     Cheers and good idea ;)

    Re: Ask your questions here!

This one is a bit different as we didn't use a 3rd party driver or external program to simulate the mouse, we built a driver for the wiimote to use specifically with Wiisis and it is integrated into the game, rather then an addon.

    Not sure what globepie is.

    Re: Ask your questions here!

Yes, the driver we designed is embedded directly into the game, and all controls are routed into the game's mechanics directly from the remote. There is no simulation going on; this works just like having a joystick plugged in. When you push the analog stick on the Nunchuk up, we are telling the game to move your avatar forward directly, not "push the 'w' key down." :)

    Re: Ask your questions here!

    1. Will using Wiisis affect the game's performance at all?

    2. Will I be able to easily uninstall Wiisis without damaging Crysis?

    3. How do I connect my sensor bar to my computer?

    4. Will we be able to change the controls?

    Re: Ask your questions here!

    Great questions!

    1. Not at all. Compared to playing Crysis out of the box, you will experience the same performance as you'd expect on your system.

    2. Yes. The mod is self-contained. It will not overwrite any of the game files. The installer will create an uninstaller for you which will remove all of the files installed by the mod.

    3. Your sensor bar doesn't need to be connected to your PC, as this is not how the technology works! Your sensor bar just needs to be plugged into your Nintendo Wii console and powered up. The wire that connects the sensor bar to the console is nothing more than a power cable. So by turning the console on, it will power the sensor bar. All you need to do is point your Wii Remote at the sensor bar like normal, and it will function as you'd expect in Wiisis on your PC.

    4. Yes. A separate configuration file (XML format) can be modified to alter everything from button mapping and gesture sensitivity values to basic options that affect how Wiisis is played out. If you download the manual you will find a whole section towards the end that details this configuration file and everything that you can change.

This looks to be an awsome mod!!!

Im wondering why in the demonstration movie the game was runnin at like 5 fps the whole time.

Also how would you compare the controls (sensitivity/ bounding box size) to games on the wii like MP3 or medal of honor heroes.

Also will you be able to play with the wiimote and nunchuck in both single player and multiplayer modes?

And one more, How do you navigate through the main menu and choose stuff?

Once installed, does the game automatically use the wiimote once turned on, or do u have to turn the mod on every time you go in the game. (becase i probably want to play with pc controls too once and awhile.

Thx and thats a great mod your working on.

Re: This looks to be an awsome mod!!!

I will let vloktboky answer some of those questions, but the video is showing Wiisis running in sandbox on a laptop, so you probably aren't seeing the best performance tunes here (pre-sdk sandbox, not released sandbox at that).
