    PC: C&C 3 Tiberium Wars

Well, since I got lied to about getting a free copy of C&C 3, I went out today and found a copy of the regular edition, Kane Edition was sold out (of coarse).

Installing now on Vista Ultimate 32 Bit, will post screens and a review in this thread once I get some game time going, as well as talk about what has changed since I reviewed the game about 6 months ago.

Finishing up the first Egypt Mission on the GDI campaign, will post a review when i finish the GDI side.

So far, its good, but I knew the GDI campaign was. Damn i missed C&C style single player...

Yeah, seriously. They even kept the "Take out the 'Sam Sites'" style in some of the missions.  Plus they made a good habit of making you do 10 things at once, and then asking you to do one more thing.

I'm up to the mission where you first encounter the Scrin. I've failed on my first attempt because I wasn't sure exactly how to go about the mission whereas on the previous missions I've had a good idea on a plan of what to do. This one just kinda threw me in the thick of it D: cool game though.

Re: PC: C&C 3 Tiberium Wars

Well I decided to first take on the Nod campaign. I just love seeing Josh Holloway as the Nod field agent. Since I watch Lost this gives me the laughs every time I see him.

The game is going well, the Scrin just showed up. I am basically up to full technology now which is nice.

One thing I would like to point out is that there are at least 5 levels of veterancy. Get a Nod Commando up to like rank "looks like an X" and she can take out enemy tanks with dual wielding laser pistols, her health also autogenerates. I haven't read anywhere about the veterancy levels so enlighten if you find anything.

Scrin airforce has insane range.  Those behemoths can take way too much for them to also be able to kill AA turrets without being fired on.  They are raping me in Cologn.

Re: PC: C&C 3 Tiberium Wars

I can see the Scrin air power getting lowered in power in a future path. Without endless sam sites they can rape a base with ease. Make them in high numbers and rush an enemy and watch the destruction.

Re: PC: C&C 3 Tiberium Wars

EA seem to like using stuff from Renegade in C&C3, despite it being set about 40 years afterwards.

Maybe they've seen how the multiplayer has been going strong even 5 years after release and are re-considering a sequel?  I can hope, right?

I figured it was more of a prequel, unless shit's been changing and y'all haven't been keeping the public informed.
