    World In Conflict....

Anyone play it yet? I've been getting into the demo, strangely addicting, quite enjoyable. ^_^

You don't have to build bases, you pick a specialty: infantry, support, armor, or air, and then new units are airdropped onto the battlefield, every like 20 seconds or so you can drop maybe 1 to 6 new units depending on the type of unit u get, better units cost more "points" excerta...

You have to "control" certain sectors by having units within designated areas on the map, and defending those Control points from attack, it's USA vs. USSR, so which ever army controls the most CP's the longest wins.

It's a nice change from  your standard RTS formula, I'm sure someone else has done a similar system for RTS's but it's a new idea to me :)

Plus you can have 8 man teams, so 16 player matches, maybe more in the full version, haven;t researched it fully yet....

Smile [:)] Re: World In Conflict....

The first time I noticed this was when browsing IGN, and saw some pics.  I was all like... Hey Red Alert 2 is in the news for some reason...  Oh wait.

It looks interesting, but I've yet to try it.  Kinda sounds a bit like Ground Control 2 (Which was like shit compared to GC1).
